Master Pastellist
Welcome to my adventures with pastel.
I have been working as an artist for over 30 years. My inspiration for these paintings, reflect the celebration of everyday life, where I try to capture cherished moments in time, that tell a story.
Why do I use pastel? No colour mixing, and it is the purest form of pigment in a stick that is applied directly to the paper. Pastel allows you to be free, spontaneous and expressive. The vibrant colours that dance across the paper, sometimes drawing and sometimes painting, makes this an exciting and fun medium to use. Learn more about pastels here.
My grandchildren and my travels have inspired me to create some of these scenes and figurative pieces to share with you. Whether you are an artist or art lover thank you for coming on this journey with me, I hope it has stirred a memory and brought a smile.
